A recent article by Tobi Cohen from the Canadian Press highlights the decreasing job economy in Canada and how students are dealing with it. McGill BCom student (and soon to be graduate) Jane Garcia Buhks is now joining an NGO after finding that job postings were dwindling.
Many graduating students are considering jobs with NGOs or starting their own businesses as a failing economy is decreasing the number of corporate jobs available. McGill career centre executive director Marie-Jose Beaudoin suggests networking as an important way for students and graduates to find career opportunities.
