This past summer, the Office of the Prime Minister invited McGill grad Morrie M. Cohen, BCom’60, to a special reception with Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Canada. Participants were selected from across the country and each person was allowed to meet the Queen.
The honour recognized Cohen’s extensive philanthropic work in Montreal. In addition to being a successful businessman, he is the vice-president of the Old Brewery Mission, founder of the charitable organizations Auberge Shalom and Old Shoes, and a board member of Centennial Academy, among other positions.
