John McCall MacBain, BA’80, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the founder and former president of Trader Classified Media.

Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, recently awarded McCall MacBain an honorary degree, and his convocation speech, which shares career advice with the class of 2010, was published in the Globe and Mail.

A McGill economics graduate and Rhodes Scholar, McCall MacBain is the senior advisor for international gifts with Campaign McGill: History in the Making, the University’s $750-million comprehensive fundraising initiative.
