Eleni Bakopanos, BA’76, has had a wide-ranging and highly accomplished career. A former member of Parliament for Saint-Denis, she was the first Greek-born woman to be elected to Canada’s governing body.

For her achievements, the Montreal Council of Women recently honoured her with their “Woman of the Year” award for 2010.

Bakopanos’s McGill connections remain strong. She is senior director for government relations at the University and a board member of the McGill Women’s Alumnae Association. Read more >>
