Jessica Paternostro has been appointed captain of the Team Canada roller derby team.
From Dec. 2-4, Paternostro, also known as Jess Bandit, will lead the team into battle at the Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto.
Paternostro, a Montreal native, first laced up a pair of rollerskates five years ago, when she joined her hometown’s roller derby league. During the World Cup, she and her teammates will contend with opponents from 13 countries.
