To mark its 90th anniversary, Montreal law firm Robinson Sheppard Shapiro has announced that it will donate over $230,000 to McGill and Université de Montréal, benefiting both institutions’ law faculties.
The RSS Endowment Fund will bolster McGill and UdeM’s capacity to support students taking part in moot courts and other academic competitions.
“This is a great way for RSS to highlight its expertise in commercial litigation and commitment to the professional development of our next generation of litigators in Quebec and in Canada,” said Professor Daniel Jutras, McGill’s Dean of Law.
RSS managing partner Charles E. Flam, BA’63, BCL’66, and senior partner Barry H. Shapiro, BA’61, BCL’64, the son of one of the firm’s founders, Joseph Shapiro, along with several other of its partners and associates, are McGill graduates.
