Did you know that 46% of Canadians over the age of 15 volunteer? Donating your time can have a positive effect on you, the people you help, and your community. It can also help you build skills, make new connections and be a lot of fun!
Do you want to get involved and volunteer your time in the Montreal community but are not sure how to get started? We have the perfect event for you! Brought to you by our partners in the SEDE Office, the first inaugural Community Engagement Day is a project that aims to celebrate and promote existing initiatives that connect McGill with the Montreal community.
On Friday October 5, volunteer with one of the 20 group activities will take place on campus and around the city. Each activity will give McGill students, staff, faculty and alumni the opportunity to contribute their time and learn about the social issues that community organizations address. Activities include public discussions, community walking tours, urban gardening, youth mentorship, and more.
