Denise Dailey is the author of Listening to Pakistan: A Woman’s Voice in a Veiled Land.
The book, an analytical travel journal, is a detailed account of her explorations in rural Pakistan. She reports on the many different viewpoints on life, and on the West, that she heard throughout her travels.
Brazilian-born Dailey moved to Canada during her teenage years, then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science at McGill, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in writing from Columbia University.
Most of her professional life has been spent teaching in both the public and private education systems in New York City. Currently, Dailey is working on a biography of the Czech artist, Riko Mikeska.
