Ann Dale, PhD’99, has won the Canada Council for the Arts Molson Prize for the Social Sciences. The prize, valued at $50,000, recognizes Dale’s work in advancing sustainable communities across Canada.
Dale is a professor in the School of Environment and Sustainability at Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. In 2004, she was awarded the university’s first Canada Research Chair. She is a member of numerous boards and organizations, including the National Advisory Committee on Energy Efficiency, the World Fisheries Trust and the Canada Consortium for Sustainable Development Research, which she chairs. In addition, Dale was the Council of Canadian Academies’ founding research associate in residence from 2010-11.
