It’s that time of year again: Class Action 2012, the student-driven fundraising campaign, kicks off to raise money for a new and exciting initiative. Students voted on their favorite project, and their decision was clear - they picked the on-campus greenhouse project.

We’ve reached our goal – Class Action 2011 has raised $13,000! That amount pays for the cost of the mobile water kiosk that dispenses purified municipal water, which the Office of Sustainability so nicely purchased for us even before all the funds were raised. That way we could have it in time for Convocation.

No tradition is as emblematic of the university experience as convocation. This spring, over 6,200 students graduated from McGill. Most received their diplomas on tent-covered stages set up at the University’s downtown and Macdonald campuses, marking the end of one journey and the beginning of another. Their pride was palpable.
